Here are a few exercises for toning those splendid stilts on the day of love.  Enjoy!

Wall Sits

Find a wall & lean against it, only touching your head, shoulders & back.  While keeping your core tight, bend knees to a 90 degree angle, hang arms by your side & place feet straight forward.  Hold this position for 45 seconds.  Repeat 3 times.  You should feel this in your quads, butt, hamstrings & hips.

Inner Leg Squats

Find a raised area & place your right foot on top of it, bending the leg about 45 degrees.  Push right ankle into a straight position & place hands in front of your chest for balance.  Next bend left leg to about 45 degrees & right leg to 90 degrees.  Repeat this squat 20 times, then switch to the other side.  You should feel this in your inner legs & butt.

Balance, Bend & Build

First- Brit     Second- Brit

  Third- Brit

Start by balancing on your right leg.  Place your left leg behind you.  Reach down & touch the floor by keeping your back flat & core tight.  Stand back up straight.  Repeat this exercise 8 times, then switch to the left side.  Do 2 sets on each leg.  You should feel this in your quads & hamstrings.

Lying Leg Lifts

Lie on your left side.  Place bent right leg over the left leg.  While keeping your right foot flat on the floor, lift the left leg.  Do 20 reps & switch to the other side. Repeat this exercise 2 times on both sides.  You should feel this in your inner & outer quad.

    Okay, so did these….you look so much more normal doing these than I do. I resemble a fish flopping on a dock. Particularly on the balance ones.
